FSLH Volunteer Association Raised $100,000 for Hospital in 2011
At their annual holiday gathering in December 2011, the Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) Volunteer Association presented the hospital with a $100,000 donation.
Funds are raised through the Volunteer Association’s gift shops - Acorn Gifts at the St. Luke’s Campus and the Gift Gallery at the Faxton Campus. The Volunteer Association also coordinates vendor sales throughout the year to raise funds to support the hospital.
In addition to their monetary donation, volunteers contribute nearly 70,000 hours of services to the hospital each year. This equates to a value of about $1.9 million dollars in savings for the services they provide.
Volunteer Association President Jane Gwise presented Scott H. Perra, FACHE, president/CEO of FSLH with the check at the holiday luncheon.
“We are thankful to have such dedicated volunteers who contribute their time, energy and talents to making Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare a better place for our patients, residents, employees and community,” said Perra.
